5 big, transformative post-2015 shifts: The needed conversations

Oxfam experts weigh in on MDGs conversations taking place this week in New York.

Tomorrow the UN will host a Special Event towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals at UN Headquarters in New York.

The High-level Panel (HLP) Post-2015 Development Agenda report released earlier this year concludes that this agenda be driven by five big, transformative shifts. Why? The report says:

We believe there is a need for a paradigm shift, a profound structural transformation that will overcome the obstacles to sustained prosperity.”

If this week’s discussions at the UN, the Social Good Summit, and the Clinton Global Initiative are to serve this structural transformation, here’s what our advisors here at Oxfam America say must enter into the post-2015 conversation:
